AHMSG: Three Years of Progress In Combating Neglected Pathogen
Three years ago, a crucial initiative was launched in Lagos, Nigeria, aimed at tackling a long-standing health challenge in Africa: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection. This is the story of the African Helicobacter and Microbiota Study Group (AHMSG), a dedicated group of scientists from across the continent working to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and management of this prevalent bacterial infection. Now in its third year, AHMSG has already achieved significant milestones in research, collaboration, and consensus-building, paving the way for a more effective approach to combating H. pylori in Africa.
